Isabelle Dupuy

Wind in the Meadow

Horizon with Red Poppies

Born in 1969, Isabelle Dupuy spent her childhood in the countryside of Provence in southern France. Starting early, she developed her artistic skills at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Valence, France. With her study, her relationship with art quickly became a passion.

As Isabelle developed her own aesthetic, she took inspiration from the 19th century impressionists such as Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh. Her paintings are often inspired by these masters and the places that they helped the world discover near her childhood home, deep in the heart of the French countryside.

Isabelle is currently putting a new, contemporary spin to the impressionist style of old by building in dynamic uses of color and texture. She brings new energy and life to her work by isolating basic primary colors, and developing a bolder way of painting them for maximum effect. Her art is cheerful, uplifting and full of life.

She currently resides with her family in Texas and visits her home in Provence frequently to visit family and renew some of the inspiration that she gained as a youth,
